fvwm-patched (archlinuxfr) vs vanilla fvwm

What are the patches included in the fvwm-patched package from the archlinuxfr repository ? What's the difference between it and the vanilla fvwm ?

You get rounded corners and such -- depends if you like that.  See:

Thanks for the reply Thomas! I've already seen the available patches, was just wondering which were included in that package...

Most of them.

I'd just use 2.5.26 myself unpatched.   If you have any further questions on FVWM, head over to the fvwm-forums (http://fvwm.lair.be)

Re: fvwm-patched (archlinuxfr) vs vanilla fvwm

Thanks, that's what I'll probably do wink Don't really care much for rounded corners.....

Hmm, looking at the repos I notice that the FVWM package is outdated...how am I to obtain the 2.5 version ? Do I need to use the testing repository or should I build from AUR ?

There's a fvwm-devel package in unstable.

Just a working link about fvwm patches provided by fvwm-patched and what to add to your config to use them: http://web.archive.org/web/200709120611 … 5dm4/fvwm/

No!  There's a reason why this thread was six months old before you added this piece of information -- and then, *what* you've posted is obsolete and irrelevant.
