Netbeans

I have just loaded Arch Linux for the first time onto a dual dual core opteron system.

I downloaded and installed Netbeans, along with the necessary Java files. However, when I try to start up .. Netbeans tries to load, and then dies. I suspect the problem is that java seems to be inaccessible (java seems to be only accessible from its own directory - is this a path problem?), but I dont know how to check for this, or how to fix the issue.

Can anyone please advise. I would have thought that the download of Netbeans, seeing that it installed Java, would have also set it up to run -- is this an incorrect assumption?

Re: Netbeans

If you logout then log back in and you will have the java path in your path.

Re: Netbeans

Allan is right, if you installed via pacman, the Arch Linux package manager.
