[SOLVED] iSight on Macbook (step by step)

Hello,

iSight setup guide from archwiki I can't apply, because in one step it copies AppleVideoSomething from OS X partition, but I do not have partition with OSX in it. So, if someone can solve this problem, or at least, give URL to place where it's solved, please help:

Macbook, Intel inside, 64bit architecture, iSight camera. On disk nothing but archlinux installation. How to set it up?

Thank You in advance.

#EDIT 1: I have found on the internet that file which was supposed to be copied into /lib/firmware and copied it. I have installed 'ift' from yaourt, but current problem is with this command:

# ift-extract --apple-driver AppleUSBVideoSupport

When I type it, I get this as a respond:

** ERROR **: Unable to read driver AppleUSBVideoSupport.
aborting...
Aborted

Anyone knows solution?

#EDIT 2: Idiotic solution. I wasn't in folder where AppleUSBVideoSupport was. hmm

New problem: after ift-extract command, this should happen:

A udev rule "/etc/udev/rules.d/isight.rules" should have been installed with ift which should load the isight firmware on bootup from /lib/firmware.

But it isn't. Why?

Re: [SOLVED] iSight on Macbook (step by step)

I found in gentoo wiki content of isight.rules and added them myself.

Instruction guide from archwiki for iSight is okay. Only thing that bothered is hal. Although hal is started automatic when I boot my machine, /dev/video0 couldn't be made at all. I did /etc/rc.d/hal restart and all worked just fine.
