Hi, I had some issues with Firefox, removed it completely, along with the .mozilla folder.. So I reinstalled now when Firefox3 came to the repos, and tried to reinstall nspluginwrapper too. It installs fine, but nsplauginwrapper wont make a symbolic link..
Here's the entire installation process:
kasper ~/Desktop $ cd nspluginwrapper
kasper ~/Desktop/nspluginwrapper $ makepkg

MIME type: Unknown - Description: do not open - Suffixes: none - Enabled: Yes.
I actually had this problem before, but I just copied the plugin to the folder. Can't remember which file I copied anymore though.. But I guess it wasn't the clean way.

How did you get into that wrong state? Only root can *read* that directory on your PC.

Always been like that, "permission differ..".
I usually just ignore it and it works fine anyway.
I'm running as a normal user with wheel/sudo priviligies.
I read the post by Noneus here and fixed it:
http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=48827
I think the Wiki need an update. Looks like they're missing the "copy libflashplayer.so to ~/.mozilla/plugins"
This installed flash 10 beta, but it'sprobably better anyway though.

I accidentaly did the same thing run firefox as root and it changed the premissions of folders. How to get this normal back ?
Offline
1. chown/chmod
2. read the forum rules, do not necropost
3. this thread isn't really relevant anymore, since you don't need nspluginwrapper anymore.
