Re: Arch Linux 2008.06 Overlord review

This was a very good review. I'm impressed. It actually hits all the right points, instead of just reviewing the "release" like any other release

Kudos and tacos!

Ey..why no mention of men in spandex? sad I still believe Yngwie Malmsteen is a low-quality Arch dev!

Re: Arch Linux 2008.06 Overlord review

Good review.

I am a man in tights, although not a full time Arch user. Yet.

I've made a test install on my usb-drive a few weeks back, which works otherwise nicely, but my bios doesn't know how to boot on the usb-device.. roll
I think I'll be migrating from Ubuntu for real when I just have the time.

Re: Arch Linux 2008.06 Overlord review

I also liked the review and writing style, except for one thing. Waaay too often you used sentences of the format "See, it's like this..." (okay, only 4 times, but it still got on my nerves a tiny bit. Sentences like this make me think you're talking down on me a little bit, but maybe that's just me because I know that wasn't your intent). Other than that, I don't know what to say that other people haven't already. Great review.

Re: Arch Linux 2008.06 Overlord review

Very nice. Most people seem to have no clue what to look for when reviewing a distro, hence most reviews are uninformative -- but your's is quite informative. smile
