[Solved]Eveything is to big!

I have just completed my first Arch install. The problem is that when gdm pops up everything is huge. I suspect that it is the font making everything so big. I have my xorg.conf set for DefaultDepth 24 1200 x 7xx. I can't post mt xorg file here cause I'm on another computer. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Edit: Did this in the install: pacman -S ttf-ms-fonts ttf-dejavu ttf-bitstream-vera
Could any of these be the problem?

P.s I'm using the intel driver (Have 915)

Eirik

I have the same chipset, and I was having problems with that driver, so I removed it and installed xf86-video-i810. It works fine, so I suggest you trying this, but, of course, you have to change "intel" driver in xorg.conf to "i810".:)

You really shouldn't be using the i810 driver as it's discontinued as I understand it. You may want to check back with new versions of the "intel" driver.

Sounds like DPI issues. See if this helps: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/DPI

The intel driver doesn't work properly with some older Intel cards. I have to use the i810 driver with my laptop.
