[solved] I can't figure out my cpu architecture!

My CPU is Intel Pentium M 1.73 ghz. All I can find out is that it has x86 architecture. It says on wikipedia's linux comparison chart that Arch Linux supports x86, but on arch linux's website it says that it only supports x86-64 and i686. So can I use arch linux on my computer or not? I am so confused. Also, I really want to make sure that I do NOT delete the XP recovery partition on my dell computer just in case I might need it one day. And finally, I am wondering how to prepare for the installation of arch linux besides reading the guides to make the process as smooth as possible. Thanks a lot.

I believe Pentium M is a i686, so it'll work just fine.

Yeah, the Pentium M is i686. Wikipedia is a good source for finding information like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I686. See the section entitled P6 Based Chips.

Pentium M is sweet.

Almost anything newer than Pentium Pro/Pentium II should be fine. I think there's an exception with AMD K-6 II.
