Address family not supported by protocol error when Syu'ing

when i run pacman -Syu i get the following errors!

[root@arch danny]# pacman -Syu
:: Synchronising package databases...
error: failed retrieving file 'core.db.tar.gz' from ftp.sh.cvut.cz : Address family not supported by protocol
 core is up to date
error: failed retrieving file 'extra.db.tar.gz' from ftp.sh.cvut.cz : Address family not supported by protocol
 extra is up to date
error: failed retrieving file 'community.db.tar.gz' from ftp.sh.cvut.cz : Address family not supported by protocol
 community is up to date
 archlinuxfr is up to date
:: Starting full system upgrade...
 local database is up to date
[root@arch danny]#

I havent edited any of the pacman config files or mirrors!

try to change a mirror
go to /etc/pacman,d/mirrorlist
put a # before your current mirror
and delete the # before whateve mirror you wAnt

uh, can anyone explain why this is happening rather than just instructing how to ignore that?

id guess the mirror (it was a czech republic one, i dont live anywhere near there, so no big loss) had shut down??
