override acpi on Hp pavillion Dv1000

i there a way to override the critical (S5) from 83C to something like 90C (Dothan max temp is 100C) cos when compiling stuff or doing high load task the temperature will be increase upto 81C and when it reach 83C the laptop will automatically halt and shutdown

also i want to override the passive temp from 78C to 72C. if i correct this laptop would turn on its full fan speed when it reach 78C and if i can lower the passive temperature below 78 i guess my cpu will have the time to cool off before reaching magical 83C (auto halt shutdown)
