[SOLVED] emacs-cvs missing libgpm.so.1

After I done my pacman -Syu, i can't use my emacs-cvs...

emacs: error while loading shared libraries: libgpm.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

In this update, the gpm has been up to gpm-1.20.5-1. I find that the libgpm.so.1 is missing from pamcan -Ql gpm.

File a bug report.  In the meantime you can rebuild emacs using ABS and makepkg.

rebuild emacs-cvs with abs, it works!

You should still file a bug report so this gets fixed for everyone.

Edit: Done it myself - http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/10806 and actually put it in the community section (oops!)

Please file the bug report under the community packages project, not the Arch linux one

G'day there One & All,

emacs: error while loading shared libraries: libgpm.so.1:

     Possibly a bit late, but I had the same problem when I installed Midnight Commander. After swearing and cursing for awhile I made a symlink named libgpm.so.1 linked to libgpm.so and all was well. Probably not very elegant, and it should be fixed in the package, but it worked fine.
