after not properly unplugging my usb drive i can't mount it with ntfs-3g
ofcourse i could plug it in windows to sort that problem...
but i seem to be unable to use the force option
it's as if it doesn't get parsed at all
wether i use the -o force or not there's no difference
any clues?

As far as I remember, mucking around with NTFS formatted USB flash drives:
There came a point where I could only get a drive to work again on Linux if I firstly did a 'Check disk' with the 'Automatically fix file system errors' option under Win 2000. Then I could mount it normally again with ntfs-3g on Arch.
It's as though using the -o force option can only fix things up so far - you need Windows for more serious filesystem problems.
NTFS is a (Microsoft) law unto itself ....

well... it's not a serious FS problem...
it only happens if i don't plug my USB disk correctly for the first time (i have 2 cables since it needs more mA then one USB port gives.. and it happens that i can't plug them in simultaneously )
a friend of mine says that in case he forgets to unmount the drive in win and just plugs it out... the force option helps so i thought i would have to do the same
