I've been reading up on watchdog the past couple days, as I explore various kernel threads and what they do, but everything I learn about it seems to conflict with what I see on my present Arch system.
I see the watchdog daemon (pid 5), but I see no watchdog character device, I can't find any watchdog binary/manpage/config file (and a search of all Arch packages for "watchdog" turns up nothing).
Am I missing something? Where's watchdog?

- "Cryptographically secure linear feedback based shift registers" -- a phrase that'll get any party started.
- My AUR packages.
- I use i3 on my i7.
