System says my IDE drive is a 18GB one, but it is a 40Gb actually

hi, i got two IDE drives, one which is a 40gigs one, however when I use df -h it shows:

/dev/sdb1 18G 11G 6.4G 63% /media/media

Here's my fstab:

#
# /etc/fstab: static file system information
#
# <file system> <dir> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
none /dev/pts devpts defaults 0 0
none /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0

/dev/cdrom /media/cdrom auto ro,user,noauto,unhide 0 0
/dev/cdrom1 /media/cdrom1 auto ro,user,noauto,unhide 0 0
/dev/dvd /media/dvd auto ro,user,noauto,unhide 0 0
/dev/fd0 /media/fd0 auto user,noauto 0 0
/dev/sda5 / ext3 defaults 0 1
/dev/sda6 swap swap defaults 0 0
/dev/sda8 /home ext3 defaults 0 1
/dev/sda7 /var/cache/pacman/ ext3 defaults 0 1
/dev/sdb1 /media/media ext3 defaults 0 1

Ideas? thanks a lot :S

EDIT: Actually gparted says that the partition is 38 gigs (which is correct) and that it is using 31 gigs, that's like 20gigs more that df says it has.
