Installation Display Issues

In the Overlord install disk (both Core and FTP) After I boot Arch the text is way too huge, it disappears off the edges of my screen. When I set the boot options to vga=773 or vga=0x318 I see stairstepped green lines and then a black screen. I never had issues in Ubuntu with similar options. The boot menu before this displayed just fine so I don't know what the problem is.

I am having the same problem. Can you please post how you solve it.
My video card:  STB Velocity Riva 128 AGP
Arch version: LiveCD 2008.06

I managed to solve it Here are the steps, in case, someone faces the same issue.

Steps:

1 - Install Arch following http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ins … her_distro
2 - Install uvesafb following  http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Uvesafb
