upgrade

After executing "pacman -S -u" and then reboot the PC, I receive a lot of messages(at boot), that specific modules can not be loaded. I don't have "reiserfs" or "nvidia" modules for example. So, bevor executing "pacman -S -u", maybe I had to note, wich modules I have loaded.
So, how to check if I have one specific module and then how to load it? How do you upgrade your system? Any help will be wellcome!

Re: upgrade

These messages probably originate from a kernel-update done by pacman and some modules have to be rebuilt/new packages installed, because modules have to be built for a specific kernel version. Are you using the standard arch kernel26-package? Then just update all packages that contain kernel modules like nvidia, rlocate, etc..(that should've happened automatically in the update process actually)
If you use another kernel, rebuild the packages the same way, you built them in the first place and it's strange that you're missing reiserfs, since that should be included in the standard kernel-package.

One general note: It's a good idea to sync before updating: "pacman -Syu". This assures, you get all the updates, that are currently available.

So, bevor executing

Somehow I guess that your native tongue is German wink.
