[SOLVED]Detecting USB Drive & iPod Color

I've been Googling things like "Archlinux usb", "Archlinux iPod", "gtkpod", etc, but I have been unsuccessful at being able to look into the files that I stored on my USB drive and iPod using Archlinux.

I read that desktop environments like Gnome and KDE will show it on the main desktop as you plug it in if you have dbus and hal (which I have both), but I use Openbox. My user is already under the groups storage, optical, and hal. I do not use nor do I want to use file managers like Thunar and Rox.

I'd like to know how I can access my files on my USB drive and iPod (preferably through my terminal).

To hit two birds with one stone, I am wondering how to make iTunes (through wine) detect my iPod. I already have iTunes and wine setup, but it doesn't detect my iPod either, haha.

Just mount the devices - check dmesg after plugging them in for the device names.
