Not too bad... However, you should not be using mv. Rather you want "cp" or better yet "install". With install you can set permissions at the same time. e.g. "install -m755 <file> <destination>" will make that file have 755 permissions.

Why are you using /opt?

Seemed to me to fit with OpenOffice etc in that it's a big blob of code that doesn't use anything else (aside from language it was made in). Doesn't play with others, etc.
Where would you have put it?

Thanks all. I did another release. I used install where I could, and replaced recursive moving around with cp instead of mv. But I still like opt more than I do plodding around in /usr. ![]()
