As the title reads I am wondering what the best (latest, most up to date, and easy to use) pacman GUI is? I have looked at the wiki and saw YAPG (no longer developed) and Shaman which doesn't seem to be alive anymore as the web site is no longer available. pacmanager-svn is an option but I am not running kdemod 4 yet (still 3.5.9) and it is a Qt4 app. does that matter? Any suggestions?

Just fixed the shaman link. Looking to be a very nice project and I think kdemod are planning to use it as the default package manager for their kdemod distro.
flack 2.0.6: menu-driven BASH script to easily tag FLAC files (AUR)
knock-once 1.2: BASH script to easily create/send one-time sequences for knockd (forum/AUR)

Is KDEmod a separate distro from Arch??

What would be the advantages of using Jacman over Shaman?

No. This wiki page explains it: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/KDEmod.

It's unreleased yet, but it's called Chakra. I was just making the point that Shaman is being actively developed and will have some good support behind it.

I have no idea. I just know that I've used Jacman before and I haven't used Shaman. I just use pacman now.

Jacman would be the simpler one. Shaman is more of an all-in-one thing..
I need real, proper pen and paper for this.

Does Jacman actually work at the moment. I thought it was broken...

Shaman is absolutely brilliant. I was wondering why this came with KDEmod, but now I know. Integrates very well into Xfce/Gnome taskbar too. I've tried most other pacman GUI apps, and this is the only one which comes close (and sometimes exceeds, especially while searching) pacman's CLI.

I really don't see the point of using a GUI app when yaourt provides a good ncurses-based interface for this purpose.
yaourt has a ncurses interface??

well shaman works for me pretty well. hasnt crashed on me like gtkpacman always did, and it will better integrate if you use kde or kdemod. but if your running shaman, and then you use pacman's cli for upgrade/installing/removing anything. make sure you restart shaman so that it notices the different packages
