has anyone got elisa running?
i've installed now elisa for the 3-4 time in ~one year and it's still not running. at least i get now the shiny start menu, but when i choose video, music, etc entry and then a directory it simply does nothing and gives out tons of debug errors/messages. and yes, i ugraded to the latest plugins package. don't trust shiny things...
vlad
ps: ??? the youtube plugin seems to work ... no it doesn't: i get this strange error "Message: don't know how to handle video/x-h264". though i have _all_ gstreamer-{ugly,dirty,good,evil}-plugins installed.
elisa is made for the ubuntu people. should it then just simply work? hmm

there are missing dependency: pil and python-pysqlite.
extra/python-pysqlite-legacy 1.0.1-4 [installed]
A Python DB-API 2.0 interface for the legacy SQLite 2
extra/python-pysqlite 2.3.5-1 [installed]
A Python DB-API 2.0 interface for the SQLite embedded relational database engine
extra/pil 1.1.6-4 [installed]
Python imaging libraryall installed....
btw: i don't get the packaging policy for elisa: why is there elisa and elisa-plugins? and why is elisa a dep for elisa-plugins and not the other way round? the install file says: "PLEASE NOTE: elisa-plugins package is needed at elisa to work". hence it's a dependency...

don't know why isn't working for you. i just install elisa, elisa-plugins,gstreamer,pil and python-pysqlite
elisa need some directory structure. Music, Pictures and Movies etc
notice that i need to update elisa. maybe the new version is buggy
i have elisa 0.3.5-5 elisa-plugins 0.3.5-2

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.
