I was wondering if anyone here has ever tried any wind of home weather station where data is collected by Arch. I would like to know what hardware/software you are using.

Why not use standalone loggers for the weather data collection and then just analyze the data on your Arch system. I would imagine this being much more reliable than having a full PC logging the data.
I have 26 groundwater monitors, three rain loggers, three soil moisture probes and a few other odd things that all log independantly. I then use a few custom awk scripts to reformat the data into something usable by OOo and gnuplot.

That is kinda what I meant... Can you provide more details? How do you interface between the gauges and the PC.
