Install from PXE - Can someone update wiki ?

Hello,

I try to install from PXE, following the wiki how to

Im already stoped by the second line:

# cp temp/isolinux/{boot.msg,initrd.img,vmlinuz} .
cp: cannot stat `temp/isolinux/boot.msg': No such file or directory
cp: cannot stat `temp/isolinux/initrd.img': No such file or directory
cp: cannot stat `temp/isolinux/vmlinuz': No such file or directory

I think the skel of the recent ftp iso is different from the one used during wiki.

Can someone update the how to or tell me here what i must do ?

Thanks

Re: Install from PXE - Can someone update wiki ?

I second this request.

I tried myself installing ArchLinux on a X31 cdrom-less machine, but to no avail. I extracted the vmlinuz26 and archlive.img from the ISO and configured both tftp and dnsmasq. THe machine boots but gets stuck at the [boot-cd] hook trying to mount a non-existant cdrom drive.

Also, I unsquashed the archlive.sqfs to a directory and configured NFS to serve it and passed the root=/dev/nfs and nfsroot option to the kernel, but nothing changed.

So, I got stuck. I saw other people in this forum being successful installing ArchLinux via PXE so I ask them to report their stories.

Thanks!

Re: Install from PXE - Can someone update wiki ?

For me only the dhcpcd part works. After that I keep getting timeout errors and am unable to boot.

Edit:
I'm gonna give this a try: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=564815
