elisa dosn't work

i've installed ELISA MEDIA CENTRE a lot of times, but it never works
i can't navigate through mi PC or play any kind of audio/video files
Is this software ok?
when you install it, searching through the web i found that there are a lot of dependencies that are not specified

install pil and python-pysqlite. if you want visual effect when you play music libvisual,libvisual-plugins
