Forum usage question

For the forum admins:

I would like to start putting example config for my install of arch x64 on a dell 1310 up somewhere and link to it from the laptop-linux list.

Is this a valid use of a thread on the arch forum? Will the post stay attached to the same node so that the link stays valid?

This might be useful for proposing Arch to people and/or help with config on this particular machine.

I'd say making a wiki page is a better place. There are quite a few pages for various laptop models that you can copy the structure from.

Agreed. The wiki is the spot for that.
