ffmpegthumbnailer and Thunar

Right. I assume ffmpegthumbnailer comes with the ffmpeg package.

It doesn't seem to work. It could not find the libx264.so.57 file - (the current is libx264.so.60)

I symlink the libx264.so.57 file to the libx264.so.60 - it fixes all the files that has x264, but Xvid files dont seem to be thumbnailed. ... And it used to work without any problems.

ffmpeg-thumnailer is it's own package and it's in community. And, you really should rebuild FFmpeg against the newer x264 and not symlink. Symlinking can cause all sorts of problems. Of course you'll have to rebuild everything that uses x264 also, but it's better than introducing strange bugs into your system.
