Latest upgrade prevents my log-in as root in kde4.
What change can be made to correct this?

Do not have access to any Kde programs because I need root log-in.

You can allways use su or sudo inside a normal user's kde session. I don't login as root in graphic mode in ages. Or you can run kdesu <app-name> insede krunner (<alt>-f2).
Satisfied users don't rant, so you'll never know how many of us there are.

1) Goto console (ctrl+alt+F3)
2) Login as root
3) nano -w /usr/share/config/kdm/kdmrc
4) Look for AllowRootlogon = false and change that last word to true
5) save

Linux has search functions you know, just use them. That is wat I did.

Attempts to "find" kdmrc with linux procedures failed several tries suggesting a malfunction of the search params in kde4.
Happy that it is fixed but find many problems in the ensuing kde4 performance!!!
