Have you seen this tutorial?
I'm now quite sure if it's up to date, but it should be.

And, there is also the uArch project. Though, it seems that their Wiki is having problems for quite a while.

If one of those ever works out, let me know, since I also want to have Arch running on a AMD K6-2 that I have. It currently runs Slackware.
