q6600 cpufreq

Trying to get cpufrequtils to work on a q6600 gives me the error listed below. It is also giving me a frequency of 3604mhz in /proc/cpuinfo. While I overclocked it I did 8x400 so it should only be 3200, which is what the bios is giving me. Somehow I think arch is using the defaults 9x multiplier which shouldn't even be working with the voltages I have . .

 sudo modprobe acpi-cpufreq
FATAL: Error inserting acpi_cpufreq (/lib/modules/2.6.25-ARCH/kernel/arch/x86/kernel/cpu/cpufreq/acpi-cpufreq.ko): No such device

Re: q6600 cpufreq

Enabled speedstepping in the BIOS (had to change the multiplier to x9) and it's good. Made me decide to run it at 3600 for real as it steps down anyways.

Re: q6600 cpufreq

Well that was short lived. After a while it stopped noticing it all together. Even worse now, I can't do anything because when I boot, no modules get loaded. They all say no such device or whatnot and I have a USB keyboard.

EDIT - Booted with the disk and was able to catch the error
:

FATAL: Could not load /lib/modules/2.6.22-ARCH/modules.dep: No such file or directory

EDIT x2: If I could just run depmod -a I think it'd fix it, but when I do that with the disk in I tries to do it for the wrong kernel.

EDIT x3: Reinstalled kernel26 through pacman and we're back in business. It looks like acpi-cpufreq is stopping the overclock

EDIT x4: Confirmed. I can boot at 3600MHz but the second I modprobe acpi-cpufreq it puts the max at 2400Mhz.
