I installed kdemod4 from your testing repos like 2 days ago. Can i just switch repos to core and use pacman -Syu or do i have to remove testing kdemod4?

Better follow these instructions to the letter, as I will do in the course of today.

BUT ALWAYS BE VERY CAREFUL AND READ WHAT PACMAN TELLS YOU AND DON'T DO SOMETHING YOU ARE UNSURE OF WITHOUT ASKING OR THINKING!
Bye, signorRossi.

I 've been using KDEMod since it initially appeared. But now 4.1 is sort of fullfilling all my needs, as I don't have any specific package requirements e.g. k3b, amarok.
I have always thought of KDEMod's pkgs to be SUPERIOR to the standard Arch pkgs though. So hats off to funkyou and co.

Is the 4.1 version lightweight than 3.5 ?
Is it worth to install it on a Pentium 4, 1.6gHz 1GB Ram, 150G HD

yeah it's pretty usable on that config. You may not be able to have all those composite effects though (depending on your GFX card...).
In my opinion it's actually lighter.

Thanks for the support guys
Because the KDE3 rebuild was a bit rushed, we are currently preparing another update for it which should (hopefully) make it co-installable with KDE4 again... But no promises about that for now, because there are still some problems we have to solve, as KDE4 in /usr is a different beast to deal with and we probably have to write some patches to make it work...
You hear from us

It's funny. I first tried the official KDE4 packages from [extra]. But I got tired of all of those packages I don't care about. So I jumped back to good old KDEmod, and everything just worked better somehow. Hell, KDEmod even used all the customs I had made in the official KDE4 build.
Your team always seem to amaze me. You might even make better builds than the OpenSuse guys. 2 thumbs up.
Arch - It's something refreshing
