I've encrypted / and swap (with unencrypted /boot) using a keyfile stored on USB stick.
I added
cryptkey=/dev/sdb1:vfat:/Aries
to the kernel line of GRUB ("/Aries" is the keyfile), but I can't boot my system.
It does detect the USB stick etc. but it hangs at
sd 2:0:0:0 [sdb] Attached SCSI removable disk
USB stick is a Kingston 8 GB FAT32.
Thank you very much.

Did it ever work? I would guess that usb was missing from your modules line in mkinitcpio.conf.

No, it never worked... this is the first time I try to use a key which is on an external drive.
And usb is already in mkinitcpio.conf

Ok, there was a problem with a new line char inserted by nano in the middle of the grub kernel line.
But it still doesn't work, it says "Keyfile could not be opened. Reverting to passphrase." and I don't understand why. This is the support request I've opened: http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/11524
Any idea? Thank you very much.
