Kde 4 dont start up

Hello, when I log into a kde session from kdm, this little window showing what is loading of kde is shown, this harddisk icon is appearing,  but disappears after a while. and this just stays there, I click on it and it just disappears, and I can see that the wallpapers is changing to the same, and nothing more happens.

Any tips?

UPDATE: I can log into KDE if I disable the composite extension. But the desktop enviroment is slow and choppy, I am a ATI user.

probably u need to configure your xorg right. u installed the ati driver ? what kind of ATI card u have ? (ati isint the good choice on linux i have one to )
