No Java using Konqueror 4.1

Hi,

I've installed KDE 4.1 and was planning to use Konqueror as my web browser, but having installed JRE from the 'extra' repo, Java still doesn't appear to be working (tested here : http://www.java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml)

I've checked Konq settings and Java is apparently enabled globally.  Is there something else I need to install, or configure?

Hope someone can help.
Thanks.

Re: No Java using Konqueror 4.1

In konqueror's settings you have to provide the full path to java, not only "java" as a command. With

which java

you find out, were your executable java binary is. This full path is needed here.

Re: No Java using Konqueror 4.1

Thanks for your suggestion, I'd just got "java" as the executable but have since replaced this with /opt/java/jre/bin/java but still no dancing duke logo sad
I cleared the cache, restarted the browser, restarted the PC but it's still not working.  Do you have any other suggestions please?

Please merge these two. I still don't know if it is archlinux bug or kde.
