Uninstalling Gnome without any problems [Solved]

I had a bunch of problems with my compuer after uninstalling KDE. So I instaled Gnome and then OpenBox. I Only use OpenBox and want to get rid of Gnome. How should I go about doing that so I don't run in to problems? Or what problems do you think I will have and how should i fix them?

Re: Uninstalling Gnome without any problems [Solved]

Well I just did a -Rs gnome to get a list of things that will be removed I guess I'll just learn about them one by one i.e. I know I don't need gnome-vonlume-manager and I am going to use Thunar not Nautilus so I guess I don't need it. This should all go rather well now that I think about it because I have already instealled all the programs that I use. The -Rs comand will only remove programs that I don't need or were not installed my be one by one i.e. GTK is not in the list nore is screenlets

Re: Uninstalling Gnome without any problems [Solved]

I'm glad you figured this out.  It's also possible to remove a group with

pacman -Rg gnome

Would you please mark this thread as solved?  That way others who are looking to remove gnome can find help.  (Edit your first post)
