I tried using xsane (and scanimage) with my HP Deskjet 4140, and xsane just crashes, while scanimage aborts with the following error:
process 9532: arguments to dbus_connection_send() were incorrect, assertion "connection != NULL" failed in file dbus-connection.c line 3087.
This is normally a bug in some application using the D-Bus library.
D-Bus not built with -rdynamic so unable to print a backtrace
AbortedI have no idea what's up with dbus or anything, since I was able to scan not even a month or so ago.

Getting the same problem with the updated dbus too.. Any ideas?

Hah, nevermind. I turned hal on when I was trying to get my USB game controller to work, and now the scanner works. Must be a HAL thing.
