Howto configure kdm in KDE 4.1?

I don't know if this is a dumb question, but i'm searching for the answer forever:

I wanna change my KDM theme, but in "System Settings" -> "Login Manager" all options are blind, so i can't change anything (as normal user)

I mentioned, if this needs root access, but I can't try it because i don't find the command for getting into the control center.

Any help will be appreciated...

Try type in terminal: sudo systemsettings

works... thanks a lot, i had to configure sudoers first (i don't like sudo very much). i think i've got (in german we call this "Brett vorm Kopf" so i translate "free") Board at my head.

there is also kdesu.... alt+f2 -> kdesu systemsettings

no configuring needed at all
