Hi all,
I went into desktop effects, chose 'enable desktop effects', clicked on 'apply effects' then had my cursor roaming at where 'keep changes' is, and clicked on it.
Now, the above procedure seemed all good, however, the applied changes were not displaying properly and I've ended up applying the changes that doesn't apply properly. All I see now is black. I can't change the settings back because I can't navigate the desktop. Is there anyway which I can reset the display settings through CLI ?

Asuming it's kde4 you are talking about, log in using the kde failsafe session, and then turn it off.

Yup, using KDEmod 4.1, sry for not stating that earlier.
Tried logging in using 'Fail safe' but instead of logging me into the GUI, it logged in and gave me a Terminal on the bottom right hand corner.

'KDE failsafe' not 'fail safe'

Ah... !@#$#@$%!!~
I thought "kde failsafe" referred to the previous "fail safe" session I had opened because it had the word "previous" and I thought it literally meant the previous desktop environment I opened...
Thanks Mr.Elendig -much appreciated
Can someone clarify what "kde failsafe" do then? - much appreciated

so I'll assume kdefailsafe just gives you a desktop environment where its all original (as in nothing's been done to it?)
Also, where can I put a tag on this topic as being [solved] ?? or do I not need to do that?
