Missing Symbols in OO

Hi all,
I've been using openoffice to read my physics notes that are .doc.  These notes have a good number of equaions in them, presumably created in Word, and a number of symbols in these equations are only there intermittantly.  Epsilon, phi, theta are all there only about half the time.  I tried installing the 3.0 beta, but that didn't fix it.  Any ideas why they might be doing that?

Aha.  Forgot to install ttf-ms-fonts and ttf-dejavu.  Problem solved.
