configuring the console [Solved]

i know that this question is a general linux question and isnt arch specific, but i would like to know how to change my arch console so that it works on 1024x768 or any other resolution, i have no GUI (no Xorg) installed, are there any config files/commands that do this, also, in the arch LiveCD there are virtual consoles which can be accesses by something like alt+f etc, can anyone tell me how i can add more virtual consoles?

Re: configuring the console [Solved]

Assuming you are using GRUB:
Take a look at the /boot/grub/menu.lst file. It has it all documented right there in the comments.

Re: configuring the console [Solved]

the virtual consoles are listed in /etc/inittab, i think you can simply add or remove as many as you need
