KDE 4.1: CapsLock to switch layouts

With KDE 3.5.9 I used to employ CapsLock to switch my keyboard layouts. Now I try to configure the same thing; it works - almost. I've got two alternative layouts: us and ru. In us the input is quite right: small english characters. In ru it enters CAPITAL russian characters. Any ideas?

Try running

xmodmap -e 'clear Lock'

Re: KDE 4.1: CapsLock to switch layouts

I did my layout settings by means of the Keyboard Layout dialog. Is it safe just to try your trick (there's some experience in the line of "if you use Keybord Layout GUI, better stick to it" smile )?

Thanks! The tweak doesn't survive the reboot, though smile
