2008.06 don't work with SD card on EeePC 8G

Hi,

I had Arch on my Asus EeePC, installed on an SD card. The card died on me, so I wanted to reinstall it on a new one. This is, however, doesn't seem to work too well with the 2008.06 installer. Previously I did it with 2007.08 and it worked well (on a same make, Transcend, but different size, 16Gb instead of 8Gb). This time when I try to boot  from the CD (external drive), it says the following:

sd 3:0:0:0 [sdb] 1566032 512-byte hardware sectors (8018MB)
sd 3:0:0:0 [sdb] Write Protect is off
sd 3:0:0:0 [sdb] ASsuming drive cache: write through
sdb sdb1 sdb2
sd 3:0:0:0 [sdb] Attached SCSI removable disk

....

sd 3:0:0:0 [sdb] Result: hostbyte=0x00 driverbyte=0x08
sd 3:0:0:0 [sdb] Sense Key : 0x4 [current]
sd 3:0:0:0 [sdb] ASC=0x11 ASCQ=0x0
end_request: I/O error, dev sdb, sector 15660024

After this it gets stuck for a while, but finally boots. In /dev I can see sdb1, sdb2, but cannot do anything with them.

When using the 2008.03 image, it boots right away, and I can repartition, format, etc. the SD card without any problem. (Too bad that I wanted to have 2008.06 to use the new LUKS settings from the wiki).

Any ideas, why this newer ISO doesn't work? Any tests that would be useful for me to post here? I'll try to o this with a different SD card, to see whether the card is the problem, even if it was working otherwise.

Cheers....
