how can i use geany to open files on smb server

i can't use geany to edit my file on smb server, since i google a lot of page, but i still have no idea.

my home dir .gvfs is empty, but in ubuntu, when i access " smb://192.168.1.200", then the .gvfs directory is aviliable. i can use geany to open the file in this directory instead of opening the file on smb server.

how can i do?

Isn't smbfs outdated? I think you should use cifs instead (mount.cifs, consider manpages). Good luck

as MarcoH pointed out, make sure fuse is working and double click the file from nautilus.
or mount it with cifs
or with smbnetfs
