Kernel Panic

I am using WPA with iwl4965.  I can connect fine to my access point, however after using the wifi in any considerable fashion (IE installing a package via pacman) a kernel panic occurs.  It says something about IRQs and iwl4965.

What files do i need to post to get some help with this issue?

Stephen

(Hopefully I will convert to ArchLinux if I can get this problem squared away.) smile

Re: Kernel Panic

To start with, you'll need to post the entire output of 'dmesg'.

Re: Kernel Panic

Well I see a lot of errors that say
"Wireless Event too big (320)"
and " iwl4965: Wait for START_ALIVE timout after 2000ms.
in the error log.

Re: Kernel Panic

Roll back to 4.44.xxx (should be in /var/cache/pacman/pkg). I use:

pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/iwlwifi-4965-ucode-4.44.1.20-1-i686.pkg.tar.gz

Re: Kernel Panic

the roll back solution stopped to work on kernel 2.6.27 'cause an error occurs when loading the ucode. i tried the newer ucode again, and the kernel panics continue. but this time, with this kernel, that take longer to happen.
