Trouble with dual-head ATI.

Hi,

I have some problem configuring my ATI X800 with the open-source driver. I can't get the second display to work.

Let me explain the situation. I have a triple monitor setup on my desktop. I have two Viewsonic 19" and one Dell 24". Currently on my Windows XP install, the monitor are configured like this.

I tried to setup the two monitors on the X800XL with xrandr. It went without a hitch. I can drag windows across the two monitors.
The problem is that the second Viewsonic 19" (the one on the left of the Dell 24") is driven by another card (ATI Rage XL PCI) and the only way to get it to work with the other monitors is to setup a separate X screen and use Xinerama to achieve a huge triple monitor desktop. Xrandr and Xinerama can't be used together.

So I tried setting up a X screen for the 19" on the ATI Rage XL and one for the Dell 24" on the X800XL and merge them together with Xinerama. It went also smooth, I can drag windows between the two monitors.

So now the challenge is getting the Viewsonic 19" on the rightmost part (the one on the VGA port on the X800XL) to act as a separate X screen and merge it with the other two screens with Xinerama.

I can't get it to work. X simply crash when I try to setup the monitor on the VGA port of the X800XL to act as a separate X screen.

you could edit that last quite, it was massive, and no text the last 4km ;-p

I only use dual (in different res) : 1920x1200 & 1600x1200.
Both works fine, but the problems i get is that windows maximize outside the window on monitor #2 (1600x1200).
