Hi Everyone.... On my Arch PC all is well and I'm growing in leaps and bounds...
On my Windows Laptop I REALLY wanna have Arch running in VirtualBox (for that cosy feeling beside windows server 2008 trial install) and ... I've got problems.
ALL kinds of them...
Running Latest 164
Does anyone know if there's a way to install the guest addons FROM command line BEFORE installing xorg etc...???
thanks!

Select Install Guest Additions from the devices menu.
Then mount the cdrom drive using the following command:
"mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /media/cdrom"
Then run the guest additions install:
"/media/cdrom/VBoxLinuxAdditions.run"

any tips on how to get arch to run as guest in vbox under server2008?
haven't had much luck to date.... fun though!

If you can get VirtualBox running, getting a guest machine running is fairly simple, since the hardware that VirtualBox emulates is supported by all operating systems.
Is there anything in particular you are having trouble with?
For the guest additions, make sure you put "vboxadd" in your modules in rc.conf. Also if you are going to use shared folders, put "vboxvfs" in the modules as well.

nice!
well no matter what I do it won't boot after installing xorg/gnome
I started a new thread under Installation as I thought that was best.
I go into detail a bit. Stuff like asking if I need ide_legacy and the sata checkbox..
can you check my post over in installation?
thank you:----) I kinda like problems as I get better that way..... duh!
