Plugins not available for user..something I've done ??

Hello
New here, new to Linux.
Actually a bit hesitant about posting here: some of you can be a bit hard.
Not even sure how to phrase the Q:

Been experimenting with *nix in VMWare Workstation.
Ubuntu>PCLOS>Zen>Vector>Frugal>Wolvix
& PCBSD
I aint no CL virtuoso big_smile
FWIW, Wolvix has been outstanding
Wanted to give "The Arch Way" a run: like the idea of setting up 'own' configuration.
Installed with 'Overlord' .iso
-hem- several dry runs smile

Now have functional desktop xfce4: root and user set up, screen res good, mouse OK, connected: FF installed and good to go:

Installed mplayer, mp-plugins, flash, codecs: looked to go through OK, booted into desktop with user: No Plugins in FF, reinstalled: nil. hmm
Installed: extensions: AdBlock, NoScript, TMP: all good
Booted into desktop with root: checked FF : all plugins there ! No extensions ??

Liking this so far very much: dont want to walk away.
What Have I done?

PS: kudos to the author of the beginners guide smile
A great experience and insight gained for me +++
Almost infallible, not quite idiot proof yet lol big_smile big_smile
Regards

did you relogin after installing ff?
what permission do you have on /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins ?

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Logged in as user:
/usr/lib/mozilla :
Owner : root (root)
Access: Read & Write
Group: root
Access: None
Others: None

( hands on face icon present)
cannot open :"failed to open"

Logged in as root: same, and for /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins

Helping 'us' must be excruciating for you guys:......thankyou

Do you have an english version of your website ?: looks like you have some interesting stuff there.

Out of interest that 'customize Nimble X' is based on the last release...not sure if that is relevant.
Nice system he has there: friend of yours. ??

How about you give me your home phone : promise I wont give it to anyone else. cool
Thanks again
No doubt I;ll be back.
