xf86-video-intel

Hi ppl,

im waiting since three weeks for the new graphics driver. now you can use 2.4.1, 2.4.0 is outdated and in repos is 2.3.2 . Can anybody make the new version available ? Would be great.

Read the guidelines... Updated versions of packages don't belong in the AUR.

Edit the PKGBUILD (like I did), and build the thing. Piece of cake - that's what ABS is for, after all. One might as well pick another distro since this is one of the strenghts of Arch.

Do NOT report bugs when a package is just outdated, or it is in Unsupported. Use the 'flag out of date' link on the package page, or the Mailing List

more or less all you need to do is change the PKGBUILD to reflect the driver version update, change the 2.3.1 to a 2.4.0 in the PKGBUILD and then run

makepkg

and then

pacman -U <name_of_package_you_just_built>

edit:... and yes, it's really that easy.
