n00b question about the frames!

Hi,
Just installed openbox and only have manged to install firefox and leafpad...

How do i make the buttons of this applications look more fancy?
I really love Reasons desktop -> http://xs225.xs.to/xs225/08124/03.20.2008-shot616.png

And what is GTK/GDK?
Is it one of these that makes it look good?
