bad 3d performance with 32bit binarys on x86_64

hello!

i have such a bad performance with "bin32" binarys from community and aur, especially games. for example enemy territory wolfenstein and its mod true combat elite. same with frets on fire and even quake3 point release, which i run with linux32 wrapper.
my card is nvidia 9600gt, which shouldnt have any problems running those games..
my question: is there anything required to make those 32 bit games use the full 3d acceleration ? the games look like they are software rendered, even the console output when i launch them seem to find the gfx card..

have a nice day!
