First things first, i am total linux noob and i dont know nothing about anything.
then to the point. Iwas just installing arch linux on my pentium 2 and the first options comes up as it should but when i choose boot arch linux it loads about 2 seconds and stops giving me message "kernel panic - not syncing: junk in achive" what does that mean? did i load wrong iso or is there error on the disc?

How much memory (RAM) does this machine have? IIRC Arch requires 96 MB minimum.

256 Mb and harddrive is 30 Gb and i think i loaded the right CD too its the 686 one, also "unpacking initramfs" that was the last one before the kernel panic message

Do you know how much your graphics card reserves of the 256mb of ram? It sounds like a ram issue.

I installed arch i686 on a 98mb ram p2 laptop, worked perfectly. I used the ftp install, maybe you should try that route.
just make sure you understand your networking setup.
