Official Mission Statement:
The Southeast LinuxFest is a community event for anyone who wants to learn more about Linux and Free & Open Source software. It is part educational conference, and part social gathering. Like Linux itself, it is shared with attendees of all skill levels to communicate tips, ideas, and to benefit all who use Linux/Free Open Source Software. LinuxFest is the place to learn, to make new friends, to network with new business partners, and most importantly, to have fun!
Unofficial Mission Statement:
We're going to be like the Atlanta Linux Showcase use to be before it moved out west and became LinuxWorld ... and very similar to the Ohio LinuxFest.
Are there any Arch Devs or TUs in the Southeast United States that would be willing to be a speaker? I am the Speaker Coordinator for the event, and would love to have somebody representing my favorite distro to be a speaker.
We have already confirmed (barring conflicts) Chris DiBona from Google and Mark Spencer from Digium/Asterisk. This in in additon to people from Red Hat, Intel, Samba, and others we're finalizing.

Most likely at the Spartanburg Expo Center... but we're still exploring some alternative venues in the Greenville-Spartanburg area in South Carolina.

nice... I was hoping it would be downtown ATL based on your username. I guess I should have looked at your location :-)
Good luck with it

Too bad. SC is a little bit too far for me. ATL would be doable..
