Hi all,
I want to use thinkfinger to login with Slim. But it seems that my efforts are doomed.
To summarize:
I've read all the topics in the forum about Slim problems when using thinkfinger.
I've followed the instructions in the wiki.
I've tried with both the slim-pam package in AUR and a custom one with pam support compiled using abs.
Thinkfinger + xdm works.
Thinkfinger + dgm works.
Thinkfinger + good ol' console login works.
I've tried each and every one of the different /etc/pam.d/slim configurations that I've found in both the forums and the net.
I've offered sacrifices to the gods
Nothing
Is there any archer out there that is happily using thinkfinger + slim that can help me?
I feel that maybe I'm missing an obscure option in some godforsaken configuration file...
Help!

No. I've read the thread, tried the solutions presented there. No way, Slim hates me.
I'm gonna take a look again at /etc/slim.conf, to check if I'm missing something.

did you ever get this solved?

I think you need slim with pam support, which the default slim in Arch doesn't have.

With slim 1.3.1 everything works fine.
This is my /etc/pam.d/slim
#%PAM-1.0
auth sufficient pam_thinkfinger.so debug
auth required pam_unix.so
auth required pam_nologin.so
auth required pam_env.so
account required pam_unix.so
password required pam_unix.so
session required pam_unix.so
session required pam_limits.so
